Programs : Diploma Program
Keystone serves a diverse group of students with different educational backgrounds and goals. They all have one thing in common—understanding the value of a quality high school diploma.
To receive a Keystone National High School diploma, you'll need to earn a total of 21 units of credit between grades 9-12. You can transfer up to 16 credits in from another program to Keystone. The remaining five credits (one in each core subject area and one elective) must be earned at Keystone. Your credits must be distributed as follows:
| Number of Units | Course Type |
|---|---|
| 1 | Health |
| 1 | Art and Music |
| 3 | Math (One must be Algebra 1) |
| 3 | Science |
| 4 | English |
| 4 | Social Studies |
| 5 | Electives |
Once a student meets the graduation requirements, he or she is awarded a high school diploma from Keystone—an accredited and licensed private high school!
Transcript Evaluation, Credit Transfer & Course Selection
Many Keystone students transfer from other high schools or a homeschooling program. For these students Keystone offers a free transcript and/or homeschool portfolio evaluation. Keystone's Student Admissions team assists with customizing your course selections based on:
- High school level work you have already completed at a different high school or in a homeschool program.
- Your interests.
- Your future plans including whether you are planning to go to college or starting a career after high school.

Due to the complexity of, and differences among foreign educational systems, Keystone is now using an evaluation service for our foreign transcript evaluation needs. The evaluation of foreign transcripts can take approximately 15 to 20 business days to complete. Please keep this in mind if you are enrolling in Keystone and will be sending us a foreign transcript for evaluation.
Diploma Program Policies:
- Students typically enroll in five courses at a time. If you wish to enroll in more than five courses at a time, you must have prior permission from Keystone.
- Students can transfer in credits from other programs, upon approval. However, students must PASS a minimum of 5 full-credit courses (one in each core subject area plus one elective) with Keystone in order to earn a Keystone National High School diploma.
- Students wishing to transfer credit towards their Keystone diploma must submit an official copy of their transcript for evaluation before receiving credit.
- No official final transcripts, driver's education certificates, or diplomas will be issued until payment is received and paid in full.
- There is no age limitation, however students must demonstrate completion of the eighth grade.
"These students are very dedicated with a strong work ethic, and their time management skills are really unbelievable. They're prepared for every situation in life."
— Alison Staplin, Dean of the Rock School
