Enabling Scripting
Complete the steps below to enable scripting in your browser.
For AOL 4.0/5.0:
- Select Preferences from the My AOL menu on your browser
- Click on 'WWW'
- Click on the Security tab
- Select 'Custom' and click on the 'Settings..' button
- Make sure Enable is selected under 'Active Scripting' and 'Scripting of Java Applets'
- Click 'OK', 'Apply', and then 'OK'
For AOL 6.0/7.0:
- Select Preferences from the Settings menu on your browser
- Click on 'Internet Properties' (WWW)
- Click on the Security tab
- Select 'Custom Level' and scroll to 'Scripting'
- Make sure 'Enable' is selected under 'Active Scripting' and 'Scripting of Java Applets'
- Click 'OK', 'Apply', and then 'OK'
Firefox for Windows:
- Select Options from the Tools menu.
- In Options dialog box select the Content tab.
- Click the check box to Enable JavaScript.
- Click OK.
Firefox for Mac:
- Select Preferences from the Firefox menu.
- In Preferences dialog box select the Content tab.
- Click the check box to Enable JavaScript.
- Click OK.
Safari for Mac:
- Select Preferences from the Safari menu.
- In Preferences dialog box select the Content tab.
- Click the check box to Enable JavaScript.
- Click OK.
IE 7 for Windows
- Select Internet Options from the Tools menu.
- In Internet Options dialog box select the Security tab.
- Click Custom level button at bottom right. The Security settings dialog box will pop up.
- Scroll down to the Scripting category and click radio buttons to enable Active Scripting.
- Click OK twice to close out.
IE 6 for Windows
- Select Internet Options from the Tools menu.
- In Internet Options dialog box select the Security tab.
- Click Custom level button at bottom right. The Security settings dialog box will pop up.
- Scroll down to the Scripting category and click radio buttons to enable Active Scripting, Allow paste options via script, and Scripting of Java applets.
- Click OK twice to close out.
IE 5 for Windows
- Select Internet Options from the Tools menu.
- In Internet Options dialog box select the Security tab.
- Click Custom level button at bottom right. The Security settings dialog box will pop up.
- Scroll down to the Scripting category and click radio buttons to enable Active Scripting, Allow paste options via script, and Scripting of Java applets.
- Click OK twice to close out.
