About Us : History
Keystone National High School was founded in 1974 as the Learning and Evaluation Center, a pioneering organization that provided a credit make-up home education program for students who had failed a high school course of study.
By 1994, the founders had expanded the program, fulfilling the requests of educators and parents who wanted a complete, flexible, full-credit high school curriculum to meet the needs of home education students. That year, Keystone National High School became the official school/program name and received its license from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
We introduced our first online courses in 1999, and in 2003 and 2004 have introduced a second generation of online courses, representing a significant upgrade to our online courses.
Throughout our 30-year history, we've relied on subject matter specialists, certified classroom teachers, experienced guidance counselors, professional distance education course writers, caring parents and—most importantly—our 200,000+ students, to help shape Keystone into the award-winning school it is today.
We invite you to take a closer look at Keystone's many advantages; then put our unmatched experience to work for your family.
